Reports to: Tasting Room Manager

MainStage Brewing Company is looking for full-time and part-time, seasonal Tasting Room Beertenders! MainStage Is a brewery in Lyons, CO. Founded in 2020, MainStage Brewing Company is situated in a historical 19th century building located on Main Street in Lyons. Bringing new life to the west end of Main Street with an expansive outdoor patio, MainStage focuses on the best that Colorado has to offer, a great beer in hand, 300+ days of sunshine, and live music! MainStage’s mission is to build community by providing fantastic beer, great music, and a place for people to come together.


What we are looking for:

Beertenders facilitate visitor enjoyment by performing a variety of customer service duties including, but not limited to, greeting and serving customers, providing education about our products and other products we carry, stocking bar, serving drinks, and maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of bar the brewery and outdoor patios.

Job Duties:

  • Verify identification and age requirements of customers

  • Process payment from customers

  • Make suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences

  • Build a rapport with regular customers to create a positive atmosphere

  • Able to abide by all State, Federal and Company requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages and COVID 19 guidelines

  • Ability to work both independently as well as in a team environment

  • Keep immediate supervisor informed of all problems or significant matters, take corrective action when necessary

  • Maintain comfort & cleanliness throughout the tap room, storage areas, cooler, office, and restrooms.

  • A passion and interest in craft beer.

  • Promote events and specials

  • Ability to use the Arryved POS system 

  • Ability to multi-task and manage stressful circumstances associated with a fast-paced work environment.

  • Bussing and resetting bar-tops or tables as required

  • Set up and close down tasting room and patio


Work conditions/requirements

  • Ability to lift 35-50 lbs

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time

  • Ability to bend and stoop while serving guests

  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in sometimes inclement weather

  • Flexible Schedule, including nights and weekends

  • TIPS Certification Required (MainStage will provide training and certification)

  • Maintain thorough understanding of all menu items, and be able to answer guest questions regarding each
